Coniston Fell Race Images – 2018

From a photographic perspective the original plan was to go on to the tops of Coniston with a prime 90mm lens using my Leica M240. However, the glass back has been playing up again & the walk up would have been messy, so I decided to photograph the start of the race from a high vantage point, some way away, to see what I could achieve photographically.

In my mind’s eye (for the last year or so) I’ve been toying with the idea of photographing fell runners mixed in with open space, lots of open space! Hopefully some of these photographs reflect that.

For these shots I used a Canon 5D MK1 with a 300mm prime f4 lens and a Leica M240 with a prime 35mm f1.4 Summilux lens.

Hope you like the pics, twenty in all.
